McKesson Healthcare Informatics

As the Manager of Technical Documentation at McKesson Healthcare Informatics, I was responsible for the entirety of the documentation library. This included the tools, library structure, content, and style.

While I was manager, I transitioned the existing library from Microsoft Word to an XML single-sourcing tool. This allowed us to simultaneously publish portions of source content in multiple formats (mainly PDF and Web help). I also established a style guide for our department to adhere to, which is reflected in these documentation examples.

In the examples below, I create 100% of the content.

Application Interface User Guide

This document is an example of a technical guide aimed at non-technical users of an interface between two applications.

End-User Guide

This document is an example of a user’s guide produced for a newly developed application.
